The Plumbing Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing plumbing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems and excels in managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & ManagementDevelop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for plumbing scopes.
Lead and coordinate project meetings with stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Review and interpret mechanical/plumbing drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Track project milestones and proactively manage project changes, risks, and delays.
Procure subcontractors and materials in line with project requirements.
Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, timelines, and adherence to safety and company standards.
Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Monitor project budgets and financial forecasts.
Approve invoices, review cost reports, and mitigate cost overruns.
Prepare and submit regular cost-to-complete reports and billing documentation.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specs, codes, and safety regulations.
Resolve on-site issues promptly and escalate critical issues as needed.
Oversee startup, commissioning, and punch list completion.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants.
Maintain excellent communication and customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Support and mentor junior project team members.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
- Gas fitter card for the State of Alabama
PMP or equivalent project management certification. (preferred)
OSHA 30 Certification.
Journeyman license required ; valid plumbing licenses and certifications as applicable.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a residential plumbing, including prior supervisory or leadership responsibility.
Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety standards.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
Commitment to high safety and quality standards.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
