GCON is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our innovative, people-focused construction team! If youre an experienced scheduler with hands-on field knowledge and a passion for leveraging technology to optimize project delivery, this role is for you.
As our Project Scheduler, youll do more than manage timelinesyoull be a champion for best practices in technology, helping our teams adopt scheduling tools and digital workflows that drive efficiency and collaboration across projects.
What Youll Do
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules in Primavera P6, including baselines, look-aheads, and recovery schedules.
- Identify and track critical paths, key milestones, and logic-based sequencing to keep projects on target.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to ensure schedules reflect field realities.
- Lead scheduling meetings and workshops to align teams and drive accountability.
- Analyze impacts from delays, scope changes, or modifications and recommend recovery strategies.
- Serve as a technology resource, training and mentoring staff on scheduling tools and workflows.
- Produce clear schedule reports, dashboards, and visuals for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support preconstruction efforts by creating preliminary schedules for bids and proposals.
- Stay ahead of emerging construction technology and identify opportunities to optimize workflows.
What Were Looking For
- 5+ years of scheduling experience with a general contractor.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Expertise in Primavera P6; familiarity with Synchro, Power BI, Procore, or Smartsheet is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means, and methods.
- Field experience in construction is highly valued.
- Confident in teaching, mentoring, and presenting schedule concepts to project teams.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
