Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a Project Manager with 5-7 years of experience in managing real estate or construction projects as an owner's representative. The role involves overseeing all phases from planning through closeout, ensuring successful project delivery. Responsibilities Manage real estate or construction projects as an owner's representative, overseeing planning, design, construction, and closeout. Engage and manage relationships with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. Oversee construction processes and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Manage contractors and subcontractors effectively. Develop and track project budgets, perform cost estimation, and prepare financial reports. Navigate local, state, and federal permitting processes and zoning regulations. Identify issues early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally; maintain clear documentation and engage confidently with clients. Utilize project management tools and technologies, with a preference for knowledge of BIM. Be available and willing to be on-site during active construction periods. Essential Skills 5-7 years of project management experience in real estate or construction. Expertise in construction processes, building codes, and regulations. Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial tracking. Strong knowledge of permitting processes and zoning regulations. Proven stakeholder management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Procore, and Smartsheet. On-site availability during construction phases. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in acting as an Owner's Representative. BIM knowledge is a plus. Self-starter with a proactive mindset and positive attitude. Work Environment The role is based in the Chicago area and requires on-site presence during construction phases.
