Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Manager with 57 years of experience managing real estate or construction projects in the capacity of an owner's representative. This role involves overseeing all phases of the project lifecyclefrom planning through closeoutto ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead real estate or construction projects as an owner's representative, managing planning, design, construction, and closeout phases.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Supervise construction activities and ensure adherence to building codes and regulations.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, perform cost estimations, and prepare financial reports.
• Navigate permitting processes and zoning regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Identify potential issues early and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats; maintain thorough documentation and engage confidently with clients.
• Utilize project management tools and technologies; familiarity with BIM is preferred.
• Be available for on-site presence during active construction phases.

Essential Skills:

• 57 years of experience in project management within real estate or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial tracking.
• Knowledge of permitting and zoning regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Procore, and Smartsheet.

Work Environment:

This position is based in the Chicago area and requires on-site presence during construction phases. The work supports a nuclear power plant environment. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
