Experience and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred; 3 years related experience ideal.
  • Good physical condition as position requires bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing, stairs and lifting; high degree of manual dexterity and coordination and good eye/hand coordination.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn plant operations and flow.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills for safety procedures, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions; able to write routine reports.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, team-oriented approach aligned with high-performance work environments.

What You Will Do:

Under the direction of the Control Room Leader, you will perform equipment inspections, evaluations, and preventive maintenance across the plant. This role requires flexibility for shift work, overtime, and weekend assignments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair plant equipment and assigned areas.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, forklifts, skid loaders, sweepers, utility trucks, Guzzler, Euclid, road graders, and portable compressors.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools; recommend and perform appropriate repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, service guides, and parts documentation.
  • Work with bolts, fasteners, air hoses, coupling devices, and plumbing/pipefitting tools.
  • Maintain and service tanks, pumps, industrial air compressors, and lubrication systems.
  • Perform equipment testing, cleaning (solvent/steam), and lubrication.
  • Keep accurate records of all inspections and repairs.
  • Maintain clean work areas and support general housekeeping and groundskeeping duties.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in the plant's Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding equipment conditions and repair needs.
