Project Field Manager

A Project Field Manager is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. This senior leadership position requires an experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience (or 15+ years without a degree) to apply their skills in project management, scheduling, and financial oversight to lead the successful execution of large-scale industrial construction projects.

responsibilities:

• Lead the project staff and all on-site organizations, direct daily/weekly planning, and act as a representative for the company with clients and contractors.
  
  
• Develop and refine the Construction Execution Plan, implement company standards and procedures, and allocate resources to support project strategies.
  
  
• Direct the overall construction effort, including coordination of labor, subcontractors, suppliers, and startup activities.
  
  
• Manage project costs to meet budgets, review and report on budget and schedule performance monthly, and direct change order management.
  
  
• Direct the implementation of construction processes, safety procedures, quality assurance procedures, and commissioning plans.
  
  
• Approve field purchases, rentals, payments, timesheets, and expenses. Direct contract closeout activities and coordinate with the project manager for owner change orders.
  
  
• Lead the site management team, negotiate labor agreements, and build trust with clients, partners, and subcontractors.

Skills:

• Combined Cycle or relevant Industrial Construction experience.
  
  
• Ability to create & man load a schedule on large scale projects.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree required with 10+ years experience on similar projects in construction management role with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Field Manager.
  
  
• No degree required with 15+ years experience with 5+ years in a construction management role on smaller projects or 3 years as a Project Field Manager.
