This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Work independently and with a team on defined tasks following verbal and written instructions
  • Read and interpret weldment blueprints and weld callouts to fabricate frames and components for large format 3D printers
  • Prepare materials for welding including organizing various sizes of steel, grinding, and material preparation for weldments
  • Accurately cut material packages using cut lists and engineering drawings
  • Utilize fixturing systems to build repeatable, accurate weldments
  • Handle materials using forklifts or gantry systems, including loading/unloading vendor deliveries
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, preparing items, machines, and pallets for customer shipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment including tool organization, sweeping, and waste management
  • Follow all safety procedures while demonstrating manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. Work is performed in a warehouse/shop environment with some outdoor work required.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications\:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated experience with MIG welding and metal fabrication
  • Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
  • Ability to take accurate measurements using tape measures and precision instruments
  • Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings
  • Understanding of safe working practices and commitment to workplace safety
  • Familiarity with forklift operation
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Physical Requirements\:

  • Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights when required
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels
  • Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment including dust masks, welding gloves/jacket/hood, eye protection, and steel toe boots

Preferred Qualifications\:

  • AWS welding certification
  • Experience with TIG welding and aluminum fabrication
  • Previous experience in high-tech or precision manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with 3D CAD models or technical drawings
