This individual will be responsible for the efficient repair of large agricultural machinery or heavy equipment and components (including Golf & Turf) at high levels of quality. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Daily duties will include regular customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, and making repairs. What You'll Do Independently performs complex diagnostics work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment. Assist other Service Technicians with diagnosing issues and providing direction and mentorship on needed repairs. May require some direction from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman. Intermediate to Strong computer skills Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen Have and maintain a clean driving record Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment Responsible for a complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders Able to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls. Assists in conducting and supporting customer clinics Strong customer service skills Strong oral communication and writing skills What's preferred 5+ years of experience working on diesel equipment (especially John Deere Equipment), performing service repairs, demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, law, or heavy equipment Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes Experience working cooperatively in a team environment Compensation will depend on proven experience.
