Construction Safety Manager

Job Description

As a Construction Safety Manager, you will be tasked with responding to sites when there is an increase in safety incidents, performing in-depth analyses, and facilitating improvement strategies. You will support the coordination and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program development, working closely with EHS Advisors on individual sites.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in workshops to present objectives and safety programs.
  • Attend periodic safety management meetings every 2-3 months.
  • Walk the job site twice daily and engage in meetings focused on high-risk activities.
  • Coordinate with contractors regarding safety requirements.
  • Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods and equipment performance.
  • Review operations and resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems.
  • Train, evaluate, and discharge staff while resolving personal grievances.
  • Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Essential Skills
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
  • Familiarity with machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles for precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a safety professional.
  • OSHA 500 certification required.
  • Experience in data center construction and electrical safety is highly preferred.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills to teach others effectively.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87.00 - $97.00/hr.
