Design Engineer III Lab Test Technical Designer

An aerospace and defense company in Tukwila, WA is currently hiring for a Design Engineer III to join their Systems Laboratory Test Design/Build team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting commercial and military programs. Candidates must reside near Tukwila, WA or be willing to relocate. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software proficiency.

Location Tukwila, WA (Onsite)

Schedule Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
  • Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Support Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs).
  • Manage drafting requirements and incorporate drawing changes.
  • Develop and modify systems components and installation designs.
  • Review mechanical structural assemblies and configuration management requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development.
Qualification Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO).
  • Experience with 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
  • AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in test and evaluation engineering.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
