What You Will Contribute:The Master Scheduler is responsible for engaging the corporate MRP system and other data resources to analyze, schedule, initiate, and coordinate production and inventory plans for various product groups in a mixed model, multi-facility manufacturing organization. This role plays a critical role in achieving Badger Meters Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee and Environmental performance targets.
Job Duties:
Develop, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive master production schedule based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure the schedule is accurate, achievable, and aligned with business objectives.
Monitor and adjust schedules to address production delays, material shortages, or other disruptions.
Ensure ERP system (INFOR LX) is accurately updated with current scheduling data and production plans.
Analyze performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, capacity utilization, schedule adherence) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to Corporate SIOP processes by providing detailed capacity and schedule insights, as well as ensuring consensus changes are implemented.
Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve scheduling conflicts and proactively identify potential risks to production timelines.
Participates in new product development teams or obsolete inventory/product teams as required to minimize financial loss due to excess/obsolete inventory.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert of Badger Meters MRP system and provide regular training to teammates and cross functional co-workers.
Maintain the forecast in the MRP system to support material procurement and production plans for responsible product families and monitor MRP systems to proactively identify and plan or production issues caused by incorrect data, systems issues, or dramatic swings in customer demands and implement corrective measures.
Up to 10% travel may be required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field preferred
5+ years of MRP/ERP, Master Scheduling, Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, Reporting & Analysis, Continuous Improvement, SIOP experience desired
Qualifications:
APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) or ability to obtain preferred.
advanced s kills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Advanced s kills in Material Requirements Planning (MRP/ERP) system required.
Advanced proficiency with capacity/production planning preferred
Advanced understanding of Supply Chain Management preferred
