We are looking to add an experience Estimator to our team in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Estimator is responsible for preparing construction estimates for medium size commercial construction projects.

Lead the preparation of cost / budget information for mid-size commercial projects.
Ability to make reliable predictions as it relates to cost and be comfortable estimating across all scopes of work.
ACTIVITIES:
Estimate commercial construction projects that meet or exceed overhead and profit margin goals.
Ensure that construction plans, and specifications are reviewed to complete quantitative takeoffs.
Must be able to prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility-level documentation.
Prepare preconstruction estimates for Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, and Final Construction Document design levels for projects.
Lead final award pricing tasks including finalize project cost & alternates; verify Subcontractors scope & cost; analyze project risks; resolve conflicts and questions on bid scopes; complete bid day forms, bid bonds, etc.
Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interview.
Communicate with subcontractor base regarding project scope, schedule, risks, etc.
Support the Operations Staff during buyout.
Maintain in-house databases of subcontractors.
Maintain in-house historical cost databases.
Attend and participate in industry events to promote our company in the markets we serve.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction industry, 2+ years of field experience preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organization and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote).
Experience with computer quantity take-off software
Experience with Local Subcontractor Market Preferred
Proficient managing estimates from conceptual to hard bid.
