Summary

Seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Industrial Contracting Division . This role involves managing multiple industrial projects (crane, heavy haul, millwright, rigging), overseeing a team of superintendents, foremen, journeymen, helpers, and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the clients satisfaction. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors while delivering superior results that align with company standards for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company industrial services and effectively communicate these to clients, including rigging, millwright, welding and fabrication, alignment, crane operations, civil activities, and subcontract services for electrical and piping.

  • Generate competitive and accurate cost estimates, demonstrating detailed knowledge of labor, materials, and equipment needed for project scopes

  • Analyze RFQ documents (scope of work, drawings, schedules) and prepare proposals that align with client requirements while addressing any discrepancies in writing during the proposal/contract negotiation process

  • Create and manage manpower-loaded schedules using tools like MS Project or Excel for project planning and execution

  • Oversee the review, administration, and execution of prime and subcontract agreements

  • Identify all trades required for project completion and coordinate work with staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project start and organized execution

  • Provide clear direction and project documentation to foremen and crews, both on-site and remotely

  • Execute end-to-end project management, including labor planning, material purchasing, tool and equipment allocation, subcontractor management, travel coordination, incident reporting, and project status updates

  • Utilize industry-standard AIA documents to generate invoices and payment requests, ensuring timely and professional submission

  • Develop and submit schedules of values and invoicing schedules to clients and internal accounting teams

  • Identify and document any out-of-scope work, ensuring client authorization before initiating work. Track and invoice change orders appropriately

Skills and Specifications

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Project), AutoCAD, and Navisworks

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tools, equipment, and their applications within the industry

  • Excellent prioritization, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication skills for professional interactions via phone, email, and in-person meetings

  • Financial acumen with the ability to meet yearly contribution targets, driving growth

*Must-Have Qualifications*

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in industrial contracting

  • Hands-on experience with plant relocation projects

  • Proficiency in rigging and heavy equipment handling

  • Proficient in optical alignment and precision installation

  • Knowledge in millwright or equivalent trade certification

  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards

  • Ability to work independently and lead small teams if needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing, energy, automobile, mechanical, and more.

  • Familiarity with CAD or alignment software

  • OSHA or other safety certifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred

  • Certifications: OSHA 30 and CPR

  • PMP certification is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Capable of standing for 1012 hours per day

  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders or elevated platforms as needed

  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and unregulated temperatures for extended periods
