Utility Operator

The Utility Operator is responsible for performing various tasks that support the production process. These processes could include saw operations, parts washing, deburring, stamping, loading & unloading production machinery.

Essential Functions

1. Operate equipment and machinery to support production processes
2. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
3. Monitor production processes to identify and rectify issues as they arise.
4. Perform quality at-the-source measurements.
5. Read and interpret blueprints as needed.
6. Adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following all safety procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Must be reliable.
2. Must possess exceptional hand eye dexterity.
3. Ability to properly utilize standard inspection tools.
4. Must be able to interpret blueprints
5. Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines.
6. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff and customers.
7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
8. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Physical Demands

1. Ability to lift heavy object (up to 50 lbs.) 36”.
2. Ability to carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) 20’.
3. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended period of time.
4. Ability to operate overhead cranes, hoists and forklifts.
