Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist in designing structural systems for single-family, multi-family, and mid-rise residential buildings.
Collaborate with clients on-site to troubleshoot field conditions and provide structural solutions.
Address client structural design needs with accuracy and responsiveness.
Work closely with the Residential Market Lead for guidance, training, and project direction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a four-year accredited institution.
2 years' experience within the construction industry.
Working knowledge of basic structural design skills with ability to execute structural engineering designs with minimal instruction.
Must be self-directed and mentally engaged with ambition for learning.
Must be able to competently communicate in person and in writing.
Must be able to competently take on multiple small projects and manage them to completion.
Must be able to work closely with, creatively contribute to, and take direction from a team of professionals.
Working knowledge of building practices and construction assembly.
Aptitude for structural design software (e.g. RISA, Tedds, EnerCalc, MathCAD, etc.)
