Position Overview

We are searching for an entrepreneurial self-starter with a hunter mentality who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a complex customer - the Federal Government. This role will report directly to the Head of Federal Government Business in Siemens Smart Infrastructure Federal Vertical.

This individual will lead Federal Business Development U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies activities within the Federal Vertical. This role will work in in full collaboration with sales executives, sales leadership, and executive management. They will generate new customer acquisition, uncover, and qualify opportunities by driving early decision-maker engagement directly with the Federal Government. This individual will develop and establish strong ongoing relationships with critical end-users, program offices, contracting personnel, A/E design firms, engineering stakeholders, general contractors, electrical contractors, small businesses, strategic teaming partnerships and industry stakeholders.

This position will be remote/hybrid in the DC/NJ metro areas

Role Description

• Develop account penetration strategies for new customer acquisition, new business development and new customer relationship management for Federal Civilian Agencies.
• Create and execute the Army strategic account plan with long term vision and tactical actions by understanding Federal Civilian Agencies mission priorities, Federal Civilian Agencies strategic initiatives and Federal Civilian Agencies customer requirements to enable growth.
• Build pipeline of new opportunities, strategic projects, strategic funding at installations along with revenue forecasting and execution of Federal Civilian Agencies strategic account plan.
• Lead early identification, qualification, and win strategy of new business opportunities along with Federal ecosystem partnerships to support sales executives.
• Leverage product segment leadership to customize and co-create Building Automation, Fire and Security solutions to meet Federal Civilian Agencies requirements. Develop strategy and business case to meet Army requirements and custom integrations when needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Federal Civilian Agencies end-users, Federal prime contractors, Federal A/E design firms and Small/Disadvantaged contractors that work with the Federal Civilian Agencies .
• Mentor, coach and support the sales executives as Federal Civilian Agencies subject matter expertise during tactical close phase for Contract Vehicles, Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ) as needed for win strategy.
• Advance Siemens as a thought leader in Digitalization of Buildings within Army industry associations and affiliations through speaking engagements, white papers, and advocacy with critical stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ proven experience identifying and capturing new Federal Civilian Agencies business centered around Facility Related Controls Systems
• BA/BS
• 10+ years' experience in Federal Civilian Agencies or Leadership positions
• 5+ years knowledge of Federal procurement, Federal Government contract vehicles, FAR/DFAR
• 5+ years strong background and familiarization in working with the Federal Civilian Agencies
• 5+ years understanding of Federal Small Business/Disadvantaged Business requirements and socioeconomic classifications
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or master's in mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of Systems Integration, IT/OT, IoT, AI, FedRAMP, RMF ATO, cybersecurity, CMMC
• Unrestricted access to U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies bases is a plus

The pay range for this position is $118,300 - $202,800 and is eligible for 25% Annual Incentive Bonus of Base Salary . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
