Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and a keen understanding of fabrication processes. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, primarily on construction sites, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds and ensuring that all work meets industry standards.
Duties
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and piping.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the specifications of the project.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly of components and ductwork installation.
Operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters as required.
Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding operations.
Perform mechanical tasks such as pipe threading and rigging as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within deadlines.
Qualifications
Proven experience in welding with a strong focus on construction site applications.
Familiarity with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding.
Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for precise work.
Solid understanding of basic math principles related to measurements and calculations.
Mechanical knowledge with experience in machining and soldering preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts safely is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
