Construction Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate design-build and bid-build projects in Ames and Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term role involves collaboration with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure project success, emphasizing a culture of safety and quality. Responsibilities Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects. Collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to drive project success. Build and maintain a jobsite culture of 'Safety First'. Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Coordinate and manage subcontractors and jobsite logistics on a daily basis. Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports. Build and update construction schedules and 'look ahead' schedules. Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included. Review project budgets with project management on a weekly and monthly basis. Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of progress. Essential Skills Experience with army corp projects and federal construction. Proficiency in MS Project. Strong relationships with subcontractors. Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction management or supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in construction management preferred. Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers, and clients. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills. Work Environment This role requires travel after project completion with 90% per diem offered and mileage reimbursement available for non-local candidates. You will be working on-site in a collaborative environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
