Fabricator Job Description Join a leading global defense and aerospace company known for designing and building advanced commercial and military aircraft. At our state-of-the-art facility in Pinellas Park, FL, you will contribute to the manufacturing of canopies for fighter jets such as the F-16 and F-35. We seek a skilled fabricator to work in our climate-controlled environment, delivering high-quality components for military aircraft. Responsibilities Set up and operate heating equipment such as heat-treating furnaces to temper and anneal metal. Operate age hardening ovens and record times to ensure metals reach specified temperatures for designated durations. Work with various tools including band saws, chop saws, table saws, drill presses, hand drills, hand routers, and roll form machines. Lift more than 20 pounds and stand for extended periods. Read and interpret blueprints and work from prints. Utilize hand tools and precision measurement tools such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, and high gauges. Perform structural assembly and sheet metal forming, including bending, stretching, and shrinking using tools like air grinders. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies. Essential Skills Mechanical experience with at least 3 years of related skills. Proficiency in sheet metal work, including auto body and boat repairs. Ability to read blueprints and use a computer. Experience with various hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Skill in welding and working with welded steel. Capability to stand for long periods and work with minimal supervision. Aptitude for mechanical tasks and assembly.
