- Perform construction material testing and witness special inspections on various projects.
- Conduct placement and compaction of structural fills and soil subgrade verification.
- Inspect reinforced concrete, structural masonry, and sprayed fire resistive materials.
- Visually inspect high-strength bolting and welds.
- Perform field testing of concrete, grout, and mortar.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports of inspection activities.
- File documentation and complete required technical report forms in accordance with IBC standards.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, and clients.
- ACI, ICC, or DCA certification.
- 2-5 years of testing experience.
- Proficiency in report writing for reinforcing and concrete inspection.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related construction fields is preferred.
- Possession of or ability to obtain certifications such as E.I.T. Certificate, NJDCA / ACI / ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector, and similar certifications within three months of employment.
- Experience with Phase I ESA, soil borings, soil testing, and aggregate testing.
- The position requires travel up to two hours to job sites. After training, you can depart directly from your home, eliminating the need to report to the office.
- Work involves various projects throughout the PA, NJ, and DE areas, offering diverse and dynamic field environments.
