Data Center Field Engineer - QA Inspections located in Ohio

Currently seeking field engineers with data center experience to provide 3rd Party Quality Assurance (QA) inspections for electrical and mechanical equipment during construction. Suitable candidate will possess data center experience through design, commissioning, or construction.

Work is on-site in the Columbus, OH area.

Bala Consulting Engineers is a 200-person engineering firm headquartered just outside of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA with full-service offices in New York, NY, Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC.

We are hiring Data Center Field Engineers who will travel to client sites throughout the US and perform QA Inspections with verification at our client's location.

his role joins a team of industry leading on-site commissioning/QA/QC electrical & mechanical systems testing engineers.

Data Center Field Engineer - QA Inspections

Responsibilities

• Review design drawings and equipment submittals
• Help develop installation checklists for installed equipment
• Perform on-site inspections of installation and record any discrepancies or issues
• Attend and hold meetings to review progress and open items
• Review contractor RFI's and construction schedules
• Review contractor test reports
• Participate in FOD inspections
• Provide Weekly/Final reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred
• On-site experience in data center construction environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly
• Must be willing to travel across the U.S. for extended periods of time required to support project construction schedules and be willing to work various hours (days, night and weekends)
• Background check & drug screening may be required by client for onsite projects
