Were looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong leadership and technical expertise, and is passionate about delivering high-quality results while upholding safety, budget, and schedule expectations. Youll be the key point of contact for internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring every aspect of the project is executed with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project controls including forecasting, cost management, and contingency planning to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and monthly cost forecasts with the Director of Construction.
  • Provide technical direction during pre-construction and act as a resource throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams to ensure alignment and execution across all phases.
  • Review and facilitate contract execution in collaboration with legal and department leads.
  • Lead procurement activities including vendor and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Ensure all pre-construction requirements are completed before project launch.
  • Manage progress billings and support receivables collection.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to resolve issues, maintain quality, and meet schedule goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with input from the project team.
  • Secure all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing Conwest with professionalism.
  • Manage change orders and extra work documentation.
  • Organize and lead meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years experience in civil construction of various infrastructure projects such as earthworks, roadbuilding, excavation & shoring, and underground utilities.

Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, both verbal and written with superior interpersonal, relationship and organizational management skills.

Must be approachable and capable of working efficiently with an open-door policy.

Possess a demonstrated ability to lead and direct projects, analyze issues, and bring innovative solutions to achieving work plan objectives.

Must be people oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.

Proficient with software such as HCSS Suite, Bluebeam, Agtek, Spectrum, Microsoft Project, Adobe, and all Microsoft Office programs.

Knowledge and understanding of unionized labor environment an asset.

Valid Drivers License Required.

Post secondary education with a degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
