Core Daily Responsibilities:

  • Assist with defining project design requirements; participate in meetings; gather information on essential aspects and desired features of new buildings and remodeling projects.
  • Assist more senior project managers initiate, plan, procure, execute, modify, monitor, and closeout primarily facility and building system-related construction projects and contracts.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding technical details and project status tailored for specific groups and purposes.
  • Oversee construction contractor, daily inspections, project budget, and schedule, and recommend to senior project managers corrective actions where needed.
  • Assist other Construction Project Managers by independently reviewing design and construction drawings, specifications, change orders and amendments, for errors, omissions and inconsistencies and compliance with County standards.
  • Help facilitate moves associated with construction projects and assist in facilitating adds, moves, changes, and surplus of furniture.
  • Assist senior project managers with routine construction activities such as updating logs, initiating and tracking background checks, and documenting project status.

  • Bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field and
  • One or more years of experience related to the position is required.
  • Additional education or experience that clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Washington State Drivers license or the ability to obtain the license within 30 days of employment or otherwise meet the travel requirements of the position.
