The Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) has an exciting Senior Project Manager opportunity on the Housing Team to lead project financing for multifamily housing development projects that directly impact Saint Paul residents.
Heres what you can expect to do:
Use and leverage a variety of housing finance tools to produce, preserve and protect housing in the city.
Shape housing policy through the performance of advanced-level work evaluating project proposals, underwriting loans, and negotiating terms and conditions on projects requesting City assistance and requiring multiple sources of funding including TIF; tax credits; bonds; and federal, state and local resources.
Provide guidance to other staff on development strategy, policy and logistics.
Collaborate with community organizations, government entities, elected officials and developers on real estate projects.

A Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and two years of experience as a Project Manager or four years of experience in a development project management area or equivalent.
A combination of education and experience to equal six years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
