Our client is seeking a Sr. High level Business Analyst to join their team.

Role: Sr. High level Business Analyst
Location: Remote (EST preferred)
Start Date: Mid July
Duration: 6 M with possible extension
Contract type: W2 only

What is the most important skillset: This is more of a higher-level Business Analyst role. Past business architecture experience required, works with a strategic lens, build quick relationships, Insurance knowledge is a bonus, Jira helpful. Advanced MS Suite.
Is there a preference for industries the candidates have worked in: Insurance
Can you tell me what the person's day to day will be like: There are 2 positions: one is more hands on working with one of the domains, working to support large initiative. The second one is more geared towards setting up the Business Architecture tool. Building out foundations, build maturity assessments view. Need help with foundational work. Need experience with pure core business architecture background and experience. Helping build out business architecture discipline.

Job Description
Responsible for interpreting and contextualizing strategy for operational needs and business value. Develops and maintains specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Drive rationalization for larger/more complex/new systems & applications. Works closely with Sr. Directors and Directors of Product Owners, Architects, and business teams to influence roadmaps and how they align to enterprise business capability framework. Assess existing business capabilities and processes for opportunities to rationalize and optimize. Provides oversight and recommendations for system and application projects in line with organizational goals and business capability domains. Recognized as a thought leader within discipline who influences decisions made by senior leadership and advances the craft of business architecture within our organization.

Responsibilities
Provides thought leadership to business stakeholders, Solutions Delivery within Experience and technology partners in building & cultivating a forward-looking business capability map based on the strategic priorities of the organization.
Provide expertise and guidance for high complexity business capability domains.
Establish roadmaps and drive the rationalization of solutions for core business capabilities across brands, lines of business, and programs.
Identify optimization potentials, such as leveraging shared capabilities between processes and business units.
Simplify our business environment by identifying how efforts across functions fit together and via reuse identification and business process optimization.
Make recommendations regarding the sequencing of technology roadmaps and investment allocations across different portfolios based on value
Adopts and promotes a business capability lens/mindset across Solutions Delivery within Experience and Technology teams in order to enable the business and IT to better strategize, prioritize and develop solutions to meet business needs and advance the USRM Strategy.
Collaborates with technology squads/teams and product owners to develop a strong understanding of the technologies and systems they support.
Work both independently and as part of a team as you manage a portfolio of projects to include those considered complex in nature with function-wide and enterprise impact. Provides updates to manager and collaborates with manager regarding highly complex matters requiring escalation.
Manage the entire lifecycle of the project, from problem identification to research and analysis and resolution and close out.

Qualifications
Excellent strategic, analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and value stream mapping among other process tools
Experience working with technology
Strong ability to understand linkages between strategy and technology and/or integrating technology with business strategy
Ability to establish and build effective relationships across the organization
Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in a collaborative and creative way
Ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely to technical and business leaders
Self driven
Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
Strong experimental mindset to drive solutions amongst uncertainty
Master`s degree preferred with minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in business, technology and/or consulting
Expert skills in Excel and Power Point
Experience with Technology Portfolio Management and Governance
Experience developing and implementing technology governance solutions
Six Sigma, Agile and/or Project Management certifications
