Punch Press Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various punch presses throughout the shop, working with a wide range of materials to produce washers and metal stampings. As an operator, you will perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and instructions, ensuring that the finished products meet specifications. Responsibilities Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment. Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions. Read and understand blueprints, routing sheets, and work instructions to determine specifications. Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications. Maintain production efficiencies of 80% or greater. Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience operating punch press machines, including setup experience. Metal stamping machine operating experience. Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints. Ability to understand tolerances such as +/- .005. Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communication. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient with basic computer skills. Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
