A multidisciplinary engineering firm with a diverse portfolio of commercial, retail, residential, and institutional projects is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer with proficiency in CAD and Revit for a Project Management role. The firm specializes in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design services and offers immediate opportunities for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and coordination of HVAC systems using CAD and Revit. Manage HVAC project timelines, deliverables, and design quality. Conduct site surveys for renovation projects and ongoing construction observation. Interface directly with clients via phone and email. Coordinate with plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm trades. Ensure compliance with NYC building codes and Local Law 97. Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial, residential, retail, and institutional projects. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). New York State PE licensure (Professional Engineer). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with NYC Codes and building standards. LEED AP certification is a plus. Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative. Technical Skills: Design of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. Design of hydronic and steam heating systems. Design of ventilation systems including DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems) and DCV (Demand-Controlled Ventilation). Experience in air filtration, sterilization, and purification systems. Chiller plant design experience. Analytical & Writing Skills: Ability to write MEP/SP/FA due diligence reports. Capable of writing system comparison analyses for HVAC solutions. Administrative Responsibilities: Review and coordinate multi-trade design documents. Manage project fees, track performance, and provide regular progress reporting.
