Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, primarily working on commercial construction sites for the installation of underground utilities for new build construction. You will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers to dig trenches, lay pipe, backfill trenches, and perform grading. This role involves hands-on work, including tasks like digging with shovels and laying pipe. **Responsibilities** + Operate heavy equipment efficiently on commercial construction sites. + Dig trenches, lay pipe, and backfill trenches for underground utilities. + Cut and grade surfaces with precision to +/- 0.10'. + Interpret specifications and drawings, including blueprints. + Utilize levels and lasers to shoot grades accurately. + Collaborate with team members and perform hands-on tasks as needed. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 5 years' experience operating track hoes for mainline utilities and grading. + Proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, and skid steers. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes. + Experience with earthworks and underground utility installation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Class A or B license is a plus. + Reliable, dependable, and punctual. + Teachable attitude and team player. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy long-term, year-round work with a growing company that offers full benefits from day one.
