Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Architect for a contract opportunity located in Ogden, UT.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Architect, you will lead the design and coordination of architectural deliverables for a high-security, large-scale government infrastructure project. You will develop original designs, perform building code analyses, conduct constructability reviews, and guide technical decision-making. This is a fully onsite role requiring U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead architectural planning, design development, and detailing using Revit and other CADD tools
Conduct building code analyses and prepare specifications, material requisitions, and cost estimates
Coordinate with engineering disciplines, vendors, clients, and construction teams
Participate in technical discussions and resolve complex design challenges
Mentor junior architects and designers, review work, and provide technical guidance
Support procurement processes and evaluate vendor submittals
Assist construction by resolving field change requests and nonconformance reports
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Architecture
5-8 years of relevant experience (or 9-12 years of relevant experience without a degree)
U.S. Citizenship
Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Strong knowledge of architectural standards, specifications, and codes
Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and clearly communicate technical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture
Experience with Department of Defense or government agency projects
Familiarity with CSI Masterformat specifications, SpecsIntact, and Unified Facilities Criteria
Experience using procurement and design automation tools
