Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Niagara Falls
Based at our manufacturing plant in Niagara Falls, we are hiring a Site Manager. In the role, you will be responsible for daily operations pertaining to production processes, operational analysis, viable production alternatives, recommendations & plans and oversight of key production initiatives targeting improvements in safety, regulatory compliance, production processes & productivity integrity, improved equipment utilization, budgetary considerations, requirements & customer satisfaction.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for Environment, Health & Safety across the Site and ensuring safety best-in-class standards are achieved
Manages directly all aspects of operations across the Site, including Environment, Health & Safety, production, planning, maintenance, warehousing, industrial projects / capex, process improvement, quality, energy consumption optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, in close coordination with Imerys CoE and BA CoE
Ensures products are manufactured and delivered on schedule, and within quality standards and cost objectives
Develops the Site industrial plan in coordination with Hub Operations Director, BA CoE, BA Business Planning / SC VP and with the support of Imerys CoE
Leads Site operations optimization to address competitiveness / demand requirements, including capex execution (debottlenecking, extension), flexibility and reduction of lead-times, productivity / energy consumption, maintenance, cost reduction / continuous improvement programs, in coordination with Imerys / BA CoE
Monitor crude BFA ordering, delivery, logistics, consumption and yields. Monitor losses and fines.
Key interfaces: ensures effective coordination with Hub Operations Director, BA Business Planning / Supply Chain team, Imerys and BA CoE & Purchasing teams, BA Segments, and is supported by Finance & HR Business Partners
Manage the site effectively within a unionized environment. Represent Imerys position while at the same time working with the union and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
Background/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, relevant experience will be considered
5+ years experience in manufacturing management
Leadership experience in a customer-oriented organization
