IT Project Manager

IT Project Manager Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of infrastructure and systems integration projects across a variety of facilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader with experience in construction-related project management, especially in environments involving systems integrators, cabling infrastructure, or network installations. While IT project management backgrounds are welcome, strong consideration will be given to candidates with construction PM experience and a proactive, adaptable approach. This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon. IT Project Manager Responsibilities Manage full lifecycle of infrastructure and facility-related projects, including planning, execution, and closeout. Coordinate across internal teams, contractors, vendors, and integrators to ensure project timelines and objectives are met. Develop project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk logs, and stakeholder communications. Lead recurring status meetings, track milestones, and ensure timely resolution of issues and dependencies. Ensure work is completed according to specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Oversee the installation or upgrade of structured cabling, network infrastructure, and related systems. Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance standards. Contribute to team knowledge by sharing lessons learned and driving process improvements. IT Project Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of project management experience in construction, facilities, low-voltage infrastructure, or systems integration. Experience managing contractors, vendors, or system integrators on technology-related construction projects. BICSI certification or similar structured cabling experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with network and IT infrastructure concepts is helpful, but not required. Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or JIRA to manage schedules and tasks. Strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to problem solving. Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations in a deadline-driven environment. PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus, but not required.
