Forklift Mechanic

Position summary: Maintains forklifts and other equipment (Spotter trucks, LP/Gas/Diesel, etc).

Hours of work : Mid-shift 2:30pm - 11pm with flexibility

Salary Range: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour

Position responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance on forklifts as well as major rebuilds on forklifts.
• Work on the spotter trucks as well as other equipment.( LP/ Gas/ Diesel equipment., etc )
• Operates forklifts when necessary.
• Must be flexible to push snow in the winter and keep the lot cleaned for trucks.
• Other duties to include working on processing equipment
• Performs PM and repairs anywhere in the facility as needed
• Record repairs and maintenance performed
• Must be able to weld and make line change overs
• Other duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

• Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication, problem solving.
• Basic computer skills.

Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming.
