Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our team, specializing in plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, ductwork, and sprinkler installations for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will manage HVAC projects with a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential and commercial installations. This role demands overseeing project execution, ensuring timely completion within budget, and upholding the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and oversee the execution of HVAC projects from start to finish.
  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions. Prepare and present financial reports to management.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Review and approve project designs and plans.
  • Schedule and conduct team meetings to discuss project updates and resolve any challenges.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, including permits and compliance reports.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all job sites.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project management.
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, air-conditioning, and ductwork.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing residential and commercial HVAC projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline, CAD.
  • Valid HVAC certification and relevant licenses.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, take-offs, buyouts, and electrical work.
  • PMP Certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification (support for obtaining certifications if needed).
  • Experience as a Project Manager for Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing.
  • Ground-up or retrofit experience.
  • Familiarity with HVAC sheet metal and estimation.
Work Environment

The work environment involves projects located in Hartford, Fairfield, and Litchfield Counties, with working hours from 7am to 4pm. The position requires attendance at job site meetings, materials purchasing, overseeing scope of work, and ensuring projects are completed under budget and ahead of schedule. The role includes HVAC, plumbing, and piping installation in commercial buildings, with opportunities for professional development in a growing company engaged in interesting projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
