General Summary:

Perform a variety of finish and rough carpentry services consistent with plan specifications. Interpret blueprints and layout the phases of construction accordingly. Duties may vary, but overall consist of construction / erection of wall frames, supports, stairways, drywall, molding and roofing structures using wood and wood product materials; measure, cut, saw, plane and fasten pieces of wood / install subflooring and trusses; visualize finished products according to plans. Some duties include shaping / installing metal rebar for a variety of purposes as needed per project.

Major areas of responsibility:

  • Perform work in drywall, paint, and millwork
  • Responsible for mitigation, fire loss, water loss process
  • Perform variety of finish and rough carpentry services consistent with plan specifications (i.e. interior and exterior framing; window and door installment; siding; roofing; stairs and handrails; decks; floor systems; cabinet fabrication; finish carpentry; etc.)
  • Responsible for making sound decisions
  • Ability to work and communicate cooperatively and effectively with residents, clients, customers, and Charter personnel
  • Ensure and promote proper safety protocol

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise as lead/finish carpenter/craftsmen; in insurance/reconstruction industry
  • 3 to 7 years of related work experience
  • Ability to inspect, sheetrock, paint, repair, install, modify, rebuild, construct, and maintain carpentry services
  • Capable of working effectively among diverse teams and manage multi-faceted tasks
  • Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and other safety certifications
  • Must be willing and able to travel to multiple job sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years or related work experience
  • Experience working in Disaster situations
  • Very strong customer service skills
