Position Summary

RSI is currently recruiting a Project Coordinator to support government and non-government projects maintained across the US, while being based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting project managers and General Managers in day-to-day project operations and reports to the VP of business services. This position requires excellent communications skills that exude a positive, customer-oriented attitude.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Computer skills & able to communicate issues to solve technical problems with IT
  • Attention to detail and ably to QC your own work
  • Spotting issues with data and finding the correct resources to solve those issues
  • Able to communicate with Radiological Control Technicians who submit surveys and personnel who maintain instrumentation.
  • Understanding multiple methods and pathways to complete task
  • Ensure project requirements are met in a timely and professional manner, including data collection, analysis, and presentation, as well as the development and implementation of submittals such as health and safety plans, quality management plans, traffic management plans and environmental management plans
  • Works directly with PMs or designee to track and monitor project performance through various software programs (e.g., MS Word, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Support change management initiatives with PMs and corporate resources which includes change orders, REA, development, estimating, etc.
  • Supports evaluation of open commitment logs and purchase order management with contracts and purchasing.
  • Compile and distribute meeting minutes, project initiation kickoff check lists, management assessments, project closeout and other project related documents.
  • Supports Project Managers with invoice approval, billings and identification of progress billings.
  • Manage project specific databases within Document Control guidelines (e.g., SharePoint) for file/record management, maintain file hierarchies and naming convention, record verification, training others on use and practices.
  • Support PMs and Operations with QA related tracking and monitoring specific to forms, policies, procedures, and use.
  • Support training database management, tracking, records management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of office management and institutional management practices and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in related field or 10+ years of project coordination experience involving environmental remediation, nuclear cleanup industry, and waste management activities supporting the federal government. Additional education involving business management, office management or similar is required.
  • Demonstrated application of responsibilities, concepts, processes, methodology, and techniques. Demonstrated excellence and advanced use of software platforms including but not limited to; SharePoint (designer), MS Office (excel, power point), Adobe, and FileMaker Pro. Experience working directly with field level personnel through senior level executive team members and ability to communicate effectively.
