Construction Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to provide on-site construction management services for Early Works activities at a datacenter development site in San Antonio. The Construction Manager will act as the Owner's Representative, ensuring the General Contractor executes the project in accordance with design documents, safety standards, and schedule and budget expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site representative for the LDC team.
  • Lead the non-supervisory site team to ensure alignment with Execution Manager intent.
  • Conduct kick-off meetings, site walks, site visits, punch walks, and other events in support of the Execution Manager.
  • Develop drawings, imagery, research, and other submittals required for Early Works activities.
  • Monitor and report on the General Contractor's performance in executing Early Works scope, including earthwork, grading, demolition, environmental remediation, and substation pad construction.
  • Track and report on project milestones, schedule adherence, and budget utilization.
  • Identify and escalate risks to schedule or cost in coordination with the LDC Regional Lead.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Safety Advisor to monitor High-Risk Activities and enforce site-specific safety plans.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including Security, Legal, Design, Construction, Operations, and external parties.
  • Support community engagement and permitting activities.
  • Maintain daily logs, weekly progress reports, and monthly summaries.
  • Participate in planning meetings, safety walks, and coordination sessions.
  • Lead field coordination efforts with contractors and vendors.
  • Manage interfaces with utility providers and permitting authorities.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Drive schedule-critical path activities by identifying constraints and facilitating resolution.
  • Coordinate and track RFI responses, submittals, and change orders.
  • Support the development and review of site logistics plans.
  • Participate in page-turn meetings, punch walks, and readiness reviews.
  • Maintain a proactive presence in the field to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing and distribution.
  • Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing large-scale civil construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and safety protocols.
Work Environment

The role is based 100% onsite in San Antonio, Texas, Medina County 381, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required if needed. The workspace is assigned, and the use of Bluebeam software is necessary. Required equipment includes a laptop, cell phone, and personal protective equipment such as safety toe boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.50 - $77.50/hr.
