Sinclair National is seeking a highly motivated and creative Business Development Manager with a strong work ethic and a proven track record of success in selling advertising solutions to brands and advertising agencies. This role requires experience across a range of platforms, including linear television, Connected TV (CTV), digital, social, podcasts, and other emerging media channels. The ideal candidate will have 510 years of relevant experience and will demonstrate a deep understanding of established brands and emerging companies that represent high-value prospects for multi-channel advertising solutions.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive plan to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets, identifying key prospects and building strong relationships with decision-makers.

Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Use market intelligence to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.

Prospect Intelligence: Stay informed on the strategies, initiatives, and market positioning of established brands and emerging companies to identify high-value prospects and develop targeted outreach and relationship-building strategies.

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market segment. Generate leads, conduct cold outreach, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our advertising solutions.

Consultative Selling: Take a consultative approach to selling, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each client. Provide tailored solutions that address client objectives and drive results.

Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase the benefits of our advertising solutions. Clearly articulate product features, benefits, and ROI to prospective clients.

Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals with prospective clients. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and provide ongoing support and guidance.

Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including sales, planning, marketing, product development, and ad operations to develop high-impact advertising products, ensure seamless campaign execution, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of success in selling media advertising solutions.

Strong understanding of the traditional and digital advertising ecosystem.

Experience selling to ad agencies, brands and tech platforms/DSPs.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Proficiency in Sales Prospecting tools and Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance prospecting, streamline sales processes, and drive data-informed business development strategies.

This role is based in New York Cirty and requires a minimum three days in the New York office.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $96,000 to $120.000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
