The Role:

As the Welder, you will join our Durex Industries team and support the use of specialized equipment to weld and assemble various metal forms, ensuring our products meet exacting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding, be able to read blueprints, and perform weld testing to ensure product integrity.

Your Responsibilities:

Weld and fabricate metal products, primarily using TIG welding, with some MIG welding as needed.Expertly weld small, medium, and large bore pipes made of various metals and alloys.Execute brazing of copper screw plugs.Follow engineering blueprints and schematics to meet precise product specifications.Perform calculations and measurements to verify material and product specifications.Conduct tests to evaluate the quality of welds and ensure tolerances are met.Inspect and measure finished products using straight edges, templates, or other tools to confirm they conform to specifications.Lay out and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems in compliance with drawings and specifications.Mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.Carry out complex mechanical installations as directed by engineering specifications.Collaborate with other teams, including crew members and lead personnel, to ensure successful project completion.Maintain responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the team.Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety standards and guidelines.Follow all company policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook, to ensure compliance with organizational standardsMay be assigned additional tasks as needed.

Our Requirements:

Preferred at least three years of manufacturing experience as a Welder or in a related role, with relevant training or experience.High school diploma or GED preferred.Proven experience in TIG welding, with a solid understanding of MIG welding techniques.Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures.Ability to interpret and follow engineering blueprints and schematics.Strong attention to detail and precision.Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing or welder environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisorsMust be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.

Physical Demands:

This position requires regular visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading information, operating equipment, and working on a keyboard. The employee must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Effective verbal communication is an occasional requirement. Regular hearing ability is essential for clear communication with coworkers.The role occasionally involves standing, walking, bending, and twisting. Reaching with hands and arms is required infrequently.Climbing, stooping, or kneeling is rarely required but may be necessary when using a ladder to access overhead assembly areas.The employee will frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 33 pounds. They may also push or pull up to 10 pounds as part of routine tasks.Regular manual dexterity is essential. This includes fingering, grasping, and feeling, as the position involves repetitive hand movements and frequent use of hands to operate tools, controls, or equipment, requiring strong hand-eye coordination.

Pay Rate: $24.50 - 25.00
