The Sales and Operations Manager plays a central role in driving store sales, delivering an excellent customer experience, and ensuring smooth coordination of installation projects. Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Engagement
- Greet walk-in customers and guide them through product selection
- Create quotes, process orders, and close retail and contractor sales
- Recommend solutions based on needs, space, and budget
- Track sales performance and product margins
Operations and Project Coordination
- Schedule installations with subcontractors
- Order materials, track deliveries, and manage inventory
- Maintain showroom appearance and product displays
- Ensure timely communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle
Vendor and Contractor Management
- Communicate with flooring distributors and manufacturers
- Coordinate independent contractors for installations and site measurements
- Ensure subcontractors follow job timelines and quality standards
Business Support
- Assist with invoicing, returns, and supplier follow-ups
- Support basic marketing efforts (e.g., promotions, showroom events)
- Help streamline workflows and identify areas for operational improvement
Qualifications
- Retail or construction sales experience preferred
- Comfortable managing customer relationships and project timelines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale systems
- Flooring or home improvement background a plus (training available)
