Job Description

We are seeking a Superintendent to join a civil company specializing in commercial, excavating, and utility projects. This role requires extensive experience in earthwork, and candidates should have over 5 years of experience working as a superintendent. The position involves managing dirt work projects and occasionally handling utilities, overseeing 5-7 projects simultaneously. Proficiency in scheduling software like Microsoft Project and experience with Bid2Win for work orders is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee earthwork projects, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Utilize scheduling software to maintain project timelines and manage resources effectively.
  • Handle project management requirements including submittals, RFIs, schedules, shop drawing requests, change orders, correspondence, and project close-out.
  • Create accurate estimates and proposals for upcoming projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints for project planning and execution.
  • Prioritize and multi-task effectively to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attend on-site meetings and job walks to coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain high safety standards on all job sites.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a superintendent in earthwork projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling.
  • Experience with Bid2Win for work orders.
  • Strong understanding of construction, earthworks, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage project management requirements such as submittals, RFIs, schedules, and project close-out.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working on projects valued at $10M+.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and document-sharing programs like Dropbox.
  • Experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, pricing, and cost estimation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for attending on-site meetings and coordinating with teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Company vehicle, company credit card & gas card is provided.
Full Benefits.

Provide holiday pay for Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day.
