Aerotek is hiring for a Day Shift Facility Maintenance Technician in New Castle County, DE. This is a Direct Hire opportunity! Department: Operations / Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager Location: New Castle County, DE Schedule: 1st Shift M-F Summary: The Facility Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of a manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems, mechanical equipment, and infrastructure. This position involves hands-on work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance to ensure optimal facility performance and employee safety. Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with equipment, tools, and infrastructure Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or repair requests Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and inventory usage Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installation, and layout modifications Support compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and environmental standards Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized services and projects Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and building controls Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Good physical condition; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks on ladders or in confined spaces Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset Apply Today!
