Job Description

The Structural Designer 2 position requires 5-7 years heavy industrial/power plant experience. Job responsibilities include producing design/fabrication drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings, and preparing material takeoffs. Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficient using AutoCAD, steel/concrete detailing background is a plus, and the ability to build effective relationships with customers, design engineering staff and/or vendors. Must live within 1 hour of the Energy Center. First two weeks will be in the office for computer assignment and set-up, learn the job and team members. After the individual feels comfortable with expectations they can work remotely.
