Industrial Painter Job Description We are seeking an experienced Powder Coat Technician II who is skilled in powder coat painting of metallic parts. The role involves preparing substrates for the powder application process through various methods such as hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, and sanding parts. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, participate in ongoing training for the powder application process, and detect and report any defective materials or questionable conditions. Responsibilities Perform quality inspections and checks in line with quality documentation and control plans, including documenting results. Maintain site efficiency standards and demonstrate continuous improvement in safety and quality standards. Conduct color changeovers and manage the powder application process. Develop advanced technical knowledge of the wash process and chemical usage. Work independently without supervision, meeting or exceeding company PPM level standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the assigned work center. Retain knowledge from each job and achieve/maintain certifications required in the work area. Cross-train in multiple workstations and assist in preventative maintenance of equipment. Essential Skills Experience in paint preparation, industrial painting, and powder coating. Proficiency with spray guns, paint booths, and HVLP spraying. Ability to mix, sand, and interpret blueprints. Competence in using power tools, measurement equipment, and following work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Shop math skills. Experience in industrial painting and powder coat processes. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
