Painter/Maintenance Technician

As a painter/maintenance technician, you will be responsible for completing all interior and exterior painting as scheduled and assigned by your supervisor. You will also be assisting with basic maintenance duties in both our facility offices and residential properties.

Salary: $23 - $25 / Hour

Duties

1. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor as scheduled to prioritize and schedule painting requests

2. Purchases paint at approved stores

3. Prepares painting area so that is safe and kept safe throughout the painting project

4. Prepares all surfaces correctly including: patching, taping, spackling/sanding before painting

5. Paints all assigned rooms and/or exteriors neatly and in an orderly fashion in the assigned color(s)

6. Performs basic maintenance duties

7. Other duties as assigned

1. Must be fluent in verbal and written English to convey information in an organized and clear manner so that staff, supervisor and those dealt with in the general public can understand. Written material must be submitted in a legible manner consistent with Agency guidelines. Documents must be submitted in a timely, thorough, clear, concise way which will convey pertinent information to the appropriate person(s)

2. Is aware of and abides by the Policies and Procedures set forth by Little Friends, Inc

3. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly throughout your workday

4. Must have reliable transportation

5. Must posses a valid IL drivers license with fewer than 2 moving violations/accidents in the last 5 years
