Job Description

Our company is seeking a resilient, results-oriented, and detail-driven individual to join our Project Management Team as an Electrical Project Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team on one or more electrical commercial projects, collaborating with staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful and profitable project outcomes. This role involves managing all project aspects, including budget, materials, procurement, and staff assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical construction projects to ensure completion safely, profitably, timely, and according to customer expectations.
  • Manage all aspects of project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
  • Supervise and direct overall project activities, including planning, coordinating, and resolving problem areas, while ensuring all company and project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained.
  • Maintain all change order, submit, and document (drawing) control logs, and prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Responsible for contract submittals that are accurate and timely.
  • Create and issue Subcontractors' contracts.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the project control plan is in effect and followed.
  • Interact with Subcontractors to ensure correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals are obtained.
  • Keep Warranty logs up to date.
  • Represent the company/project in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
  • Prepare price change orders, project reports, and documentation.
  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

Essential Skills

  • Project management experience in electrical and low voltage systems.
  • Broad understanding of all functional areas of the electrical service industry.
  • Basic proficiency in accounting, general office software, and business development processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred, Construction Management, or related field. Applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • 5 years experience as an electrical Project Manager.
  • Familiarity with electrical field concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures including Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes, and Lighting Systems.
  • MS Office experience.
  • 2+ years as an electrical Project Manager.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
