Civil Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator with a strong background in earthwork and site development estimating. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in heavy civil estimating. This role plays a critical part in generating accurate takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid packages for grading, excavation, and site work projects.

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork, grading, and civil construction projects using Agtek and Bid2Win software
-Analyze project drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to prepare accurate estimates
-Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for inclusion in bid proposals
-Prepare comprehensive bid packages and cost breakdowns for public and private sector clients
-Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and coordinate with operations teams on project approach and constructability
-Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering alternatives, and potential project risks
-Maintain and update unit cost databases and historical bid data
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure accuracy and alignment between estimates and execution

Qualifications:
-Minimum 5 years of civil estimating experience, specifically in earthwork/site development
-Proficiency in Agtek and Bid2Win is required
-Strong understanding of soil conditions, excavation methods, and equipment productivity
-Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and technical specifications
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general office software
