Lead Production Architect

Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the production of architectural drawing sets, ensuring they meet high standards of accuracy, quality, and code compliance. The position involves managing and mentoring production staff, coordinating with project managers, consultants, and design teams, and overseeing detailing, specifications, and construction documentation for public-sector projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of architectural drawing sets with precision and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor production staff to foster growth and consistency across projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and design teams to align technical output with design intent.
  • Oversee detailing, specifications, and construction documentation for public-sector projects.
  • Maintain project schedules and deliverables, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Support QA/QC processes and contribute to firm-wide production standards.
  • Ensure successful project management techniques to achieve results for the firm and clients.
  • Supervise the production of design and contract documents.
  • Lead the design team and coordinate all staff to meet project goals, objectives, and schedule.
  • Establish and monitor project budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Manage and review the performance of the design team.
  • Interface with and manage relationships with design consultants, owner representatives, public officials, and review officials.
  • Assist with quality assurance reviews of project documents.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture and AutoCAD Architecture.
  • Experience in leading production teams.
  • Background in public sector projects.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to take projects from start to finish and understand building assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Architecture License/Registration is nice to have.
  • Full AutoCAD proficiency is preferred.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Work Environment

The firm operates with a relaxed working environment, emphasizing employee well-being. The expectation is to work in the office five days a week. Employees work 40 hours a week, with late hours being rare and no expectation to bring work home. The main office is located in New Jersey, with an additional location in Florida. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
