Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to launch their career in water and wastewater infrastructure design while working alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers innovative and sustainable solutions for water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure projects across the U.S.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
Support senior engineers in preparing construction drawings, technical specifications, and reports.
Perform basic engineering calculations such as voltage drop, load studies, and conduit/cable sizing.
Work with CAD and/or BIM software to produce electrical design documentation.
Gather background information for project planning and design development.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
Learn and follow Kennedy Jenks' quality and safety standards, procedures, and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
0-2 years of related engineering experience (internships or co-op experience a plus)
Interest in power distribution, controls, or instrumentation design
EIT certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $83,000 to $90,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
