Plumbing Foreman Job Description The Plumbing Foreman will oversee and manage all plumbing-related activities on large-scale commercial construction sites. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that plumbing systems are installed accurately, safely, and according to project timelines and specifications. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with deep knowledge of plumbing systems and code compliance for commercial buildings. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate plumbing crews across multiple job sites. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing layouts. Schedule tasks and resources to maintain workflow efficiency. Ensure work complies with local and national plumbing codes and safety standards. Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and other trade foremen. Oversee installation of piping systems, fixtures, valves, and water heaters. Inspect work for quality assurance and perform troubleshooting when needed. Maintain jobsite documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and inspections. Order and manage material inventory to support project timelines. Train and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices. Essential Skills Proficiency in plumbing, construction, and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Knowledge of PVC, cast iron, soldering, and pipe fitting. Experience with hand tools and mechanical systems. Understanding of HVAC and general labor requirements. Mechanically inclined and able to manage new commercial construction projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in large commercial construction projects. Ability to ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills. Capability to train and mentor junior staff. Why Work Here?
