Equipment Operator**

**Job Description**

This position involves handling vehicles designated for scrapping by draining all fluids using hand and power tools. A strong mechanical aptitude is required to efficiently locate and drain these fluids from the cars. The role is physically demanding and involves working in a very dirty environment. Additionally, there is an opportunity to operate equipment and learn how to run the shredder.

**Responsibilities**

+ Drain fluids from vehicles using hand and power tools.

+ Identify and locate various components within the cars for fluid drainage.

+ Operate heavy equipment as needed.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area despite the dirty conditions.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and heavy equipment.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to work in a very dirty environment.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in equipment operation.

+ Stable work history with at least two jobs in the past five years.

**Work Environment**

The role is based in a metal recycling facility, primarily working outside in the yard. Work may also be conducted in various outbuildings, moving materials. Despite being in the elements, equipment cabs are enclosed and heated. Core working hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the yard open from 5 AM to 5 PM, allowing for flexibility. Communication is encouraged for early departures or personal commitments, ensuring a supportive environment.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $46000.00/yr.

2 weeks vacation, 401k, holiday, health, vision, dental

**Workplace Type**

This is a fully onsite position in Green Bay,WI.
